Muscle-Up Charity Fight Night - Boxer Nomination
Sat 17 Oct 2026 08:00 - 23:00

Event information

Registration for this event closes at Thu 01 Oct 2026 09:00.

Event Overview

The Muscle Up Charity Fight Night returns in 2026 as one of Canberra’s most anticipated community fundraising events—an unforgettable evening that blends elite Olympic-style boxing, high‑energy entertainment, and genuine social impact. Now in its long‑running tradition, the event continues to attract corporate partners, sports fans, and community supporters from across the ACT.

All proceeds from the night support Capital Region Muscular Dystrophy (CRMD) and their vital work assisting people living with neuromuscular conditions. Funds raised contribute directly to equipment provision, family support programs, and inclusive sporting initiatives such as the ACT Power Chair Football League, helping children and adults participate in sport with confidence and independence.

The 2026 Fight Night delivers far more than boxing. Guests will enjoy a full entertainment program featuring music, lighting displays, raffles, and a sporting memorabilia auction—highlighted by the crowd‑favourite samurai sword showcase, now a signature moment of the event.

Corporate partners can take advantage of tax‑deductible sponsorship packages that offer exceptional value and visibility. Options include premium ringside tables, bout sponsorship, branded signage, and tailored packages designed to meet specific marketing or community engagement goals. Sponsors who commit before 7 September receive enhanced promotional benefits and priority placement.

Whether you’re supporting a meaningful cause, hosting clients, rewarding staff, or simply seeking a spectacular night out, the 2026 Muscle Up Charity Fight Night is the premier charity boxing event on the Canberra calendar.

Get Prepared

Veterans, regardless of whether you have ever boxed before, are encouraged to sign up and start training with a Boxing Australia affiliated gym. Your local Boxing Australia State/Territory member association webpage can help you find a gym.

Let your coach know that you want to fight in this event, and if you can get prepared in time, they'll get you ready to jump into the ring! Get in early as you will need to start at least 3 months before the event for training, and you will also need to obtain a competition membership with your State/Territory member association and undertake a pre-fight medical and blood test. An overview of typical path to competition can be found here.

There is no pressure for applicants to progress all the way to tournament, and even if you or your coach later decides that you're not ready for competition, you will have had some great training along the way.

Please note: all coaches are required to hold current Boxing Australia coaching accreditation. We can arrange an accredited coach to be in your corner for the event if your training coach isn't accredited.
