Change of association’s name

Along with most other state boxing associations, ACT Boxing has changed its name to align with the nomenclature preferred by the national body (Boxing Australia). We are now known as Boxing ACT.

Coach Registrations

Coaches who had not submitted their 2003 registration form and payment ($25) by 5th February are advised that their professional indemnity insurance cover has lapsed. You should submit your form and payment immediately if you wish to regain insurance cover. Unfinancial (and therefore uninsured) coaches are NOT permitted to work a boxer’s corner at a tournament.

Club Affiliations

All boxing clubs were sent affiliation forms weeks ago. Several have not yet been returned. Clubs which are not financial are not entitled to have their boxers weigh in at a tournament. Coaches should ensure their club’s affiliation is paid before the 22 February tournament.

Boxer Registrations

Boxers intending to compete at the February tournament should lodge their 2003 registration form, Competition Record Book (existing boxers), payment and photo(s) immediately. You CANNOT register at the last minute before a tournament; the registration close-off for the Feb 22nd show is ONE WEEK beforehand, i.e. 15th Feb.  Please read your form carefully; supply ALL the material requested of you and do not leave questions unanswered. If you fail to provide the required information in time, you may miss out on the tournament. Forms available from our website or phone us.
